The Story of Medevac Mike

    I was the guy who wrote the "Story of Mike" to the tune of the Beverly Hillbillies, that hacked the Captain off. He first thought it was great to see his Marines with such high morale and singing in a large group; that is, until he started listening. Here it goes:

Come and listen to my story of a company named Mike,
They'd fight all day, and they'd fight all night;
When the smoke was over, all that was left to see,
Was the company Captain, and the CP.
        Alive that is!

Well the next thing you know, old Mike's in the rear,
Soaking up booze, and soaking up beer;
When the party was over, all that was left to see,
was the company Captain, and the CP.
        Standing that is!

Well, the next thing you know, old Mike's in the field,
Taking more chances, and getting more killed;
When the battle was over, all that was left to see,
Was the company Captain, and the CP.
        Untouched that is!

Well, this was my story of Medevac Mike,
Who would fight all day, and then party all night;
We all went to heaven, all but one poor soul,
and he was left behind on the toilet bowl.
            The Captain, that is!
