Jorge Sosa

Pfc. Jorge Sosa served in Vietnam with the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, Mike Company, 2nd platoon. He was Killed In Action on Operation UNION II. His name stands proudly on the Mike 3/5 Wall of Honor alongside his fellow Marines and FMF Corpsmen. Semper fi, Brother Marine, we will never forget.

Fallen Brother, Finally Found

Finally, on 2 Feb, 2008 I have discoverd who the Marine was that fell within 2 feet of me. I had been wounded and fallen back to the rice paddy dike with Jorge. I do not remember if we even exchanged names. I do know that he was fresh from the states. When given the order to move out, (I was not going anywhere with my wound) Jorge responded as ordered and was cut down by a single round! I never knew his name until a 3/5 reunion last year. Semper Fi, I will never forget!~Steve Lovejoy, 2nd plt,M Co, 3/5

He is my brother

You will always be my HERO! Thank You for the Internal Peace you gave to me on June 1967. It took a while to realize that gentle touch was from you. It has helped me carry on. 38 years is not enough time to wash away the cherished memories of us growing up together. Love you!~Ricardo Sosa
